Connor’s Black Belt project, Glyk, is a simple action roguelike inspired heavily by its forebears, from The Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon, to more recently Risk of Rain 2 and Hades. In the game, you work your way through a dungeon, fighting skeletons, sentient fireballs, and minotaurs to take down an ancient shadow demon. To beat this antediluvian foe, you must go deeper into the dungeon, collecting items and levels to stand a chance of slaying the beast once and for all. Every life counts, and if you lose, you must start over from the top, with more knowledge of the dungeon and its inner workings.
