From the Dojo to Steam: Senseis Share Their Games at Next Fest 2025

Steam Next Fest brings the global gaming community together for one exciting week of discovery, featuring hundreds of free game demos, live developer streams, and a first look at upcoming titles before their release. This year’s festival (running October 13–20, 2025) is extra special for us at Code Ninjas because a few of our very own Senseis are showcasing their games!

Let’s meet a few of the incredible Senseis whose games are making waves at Steam Next Fest 2025:

1. Splash Zone by Sensei Zach (Chanhassen, MN)

Splash Zone is a fun first-person shooter where playful ducks battle it out with water guns! Soak your opponents in different arenas across a variety of game modes, from capture the flag to hide and seek.

2. Zombie Barrel Blast by Sensei Jonathon (Milton, ON)

Zombie Barrel Blast is an arcade-style 2D platformer, minus the platforms. Traverse across graveyards, jungles, volcanos and more – as you collect brains, dodge baddies and BLAST toward the finish line. Don’t worry about getting hurt – zombies are already dead.

Why This Matters

Watching our Senseis share their creations at Steam Next Fest reminds us that Code Ninjas is all about empowering creators. Whether you’re an 8-year-old learning your first lines of code or a Sensei launching your first game, these Senseis are living proof that the path from beginner to game developer is real. And that it starts right here in our dojos.
